Your class time capsule, without the shoebox
Print a slip for each seat. Pupils scan it, type their code and write to the person they will be next year, with no accounts and no names. Nobody reads a letter until you open the capsule, and then every code opens its own.
You sign in with a passkey: no password and no email address. Pupils never need either.
Three steps
- Print the codes. Make a class with a seat for each pupil and print the slips, 8 to a page. Each has a seat number, an 8-character code and a square to scan. Write the children's names beside their seats on your own sheet; Termcapsule never asks for them.
- Pupils write. One prompt per screen, then the letter, then Seal my letter. You see only how many have sealed. Shared tablets are fine: "Finished? Hand the device on" ends each turn.
- You open it. Release with your button on the first day back, or set a date and it opens at 07:00. Each pupil reads their own letter and can print it, and you can read and print them all.
The rules, including what is stored and for how long, are on how Termcapsule works and the privacy page. The FAQ covers lost codes, release day and worrying letters.
